We are delighted to extend an invitation to the International Conference on Magnetic Materials and Applications (ICMAGMA-2025), organized by the Magnetics Society of India (MSI) in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. The conference will be held from February 12-14, 2025, at the J.N. Tata Auditorium on the IISc campus in Bengaluru, India.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) was established in 1909 through a public-private partnership between the industrialist Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, the Mysore royal family, and the Government of India. Over the past 115 years, IISc has evolved into India’s premier institute for advanced scientific and technological research and education. The fundamental mandate of IISc is “to provide for advanced instruction and to conduct original investigations in all branches of knowledge as are likely to promote the material and industrial welfare of India.” Consistent with this mandate, the Institute has strived to maintain a balance between the pursuit of fundamental knowledge and the application of its research for industrial and societal benefit.
Founded by the visionary late Dr. R.V. Tamhankar, former Director of DMRL, MSI has been serving the scientific community since its inception in November 1973. MSI has a strong tradition of organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences in the field of magnetic materials. Recently, MSI has been hosting International Conferences on Magnetic Materials and Their Applications (ICMAGMA) in partnership with academic and R&D institutions. This year, MSI join forces with IISc to conduct ICMAGMA-2025.
The conference will cover a broad spectrum of topics in magnetism and include plenary sessions, invited talks, and oral and poster presentations. We anticipate attendance by over 500 delegates from India and abroad, making this an excellent opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange in the field of magnetic materials.
